In order to properly Clean Garbage Disposal best to wear gloves and wet Paper Towels saturated with liquid dish soap..
Then proceed to Wipe inside Interior Walls of Garbage Disposal and Underside of top rubber cover (CLEAN both underside and topside of rubber cover). The Last Step to Completely Clean Interior Garbage Disposal is to place 1/2 Cup of Baking Soda and Add White Vinegar to the Baking Soda to Mix before Pouring Mixture into Garbage Disposal . Leave Mixture at bottom of Garbage Disposal for (5) minutes and then turn on tap water & flip switch to Turn Garbage Disposal “ON” for about (2) minutes.. The Cleaning Process above will Eradicate mold, bacteria Odors, All Germs from the Inside of Garbage Disposal..

I have tried putting blankets on my couches for the dogs and inevitably when I get home they have pulled them off. Suggestions for refreshing furniture without putting baking soda on? They would be wallering in it quickly.

Very helpful. As a nurse I’ve had to endure some pretty bad odors and the products used to eradicate them can be damaging to mucus membranes and skin. At home I prefer simpler but more effective products such as those you describe. My grandmother used to say cleanliness is next to godliness and she wasn’t whistling Dixie because she was from the remote Isle of Skye in Scotland in the very early 1900’s. A friend of mine almost died after mixing bleach and ammonia. I found her comatose on the bathroom floor.
Somehow the house got fruit flies. Mostly all fruit fly catchers/killers don’t work. They reproduce faster than you can catch them. My guess, one snuck in from bought fruit, but getting rid of them is embarrassing and torture. Do I have to wait for winter?
Tip on tip: After vacuuming fine powders, like baking soda, keep the vacuum efficient by thoroughly cleaning all the machines filters. Powder trapped in filters reduces the air flow substantially.
