I quit buying Windex (or any generic) years ago. Alcohol, vinegar, or soap and water with a microcloth will always do a better more shiny job. Windex just smears and makes a film that is hard to get off.

I have been using Windex to clean everything in my apartment for years. I have yet to see any bad results. Until I see any damage from Windex, I’ll continue to use it.
It appears that Windex should be avoided altogether!
So shouldn’t use windex to clean windows? Should I not use dish soap for dishes or laundry soap for laundry? I’m confused.

What is Windex made for?
You told us ,in the most annoying format I must say, what not to use windex and might add not even windows ?? I thought that’s what windex was made for. The ads take up more room than the text does SO EFFING ANNOYING!!! Not to mention it roams the page trying to force us to look at it . Which makes me more determined not to look !

If you have a snake problem in your home, barn, chicken house..windex is deadly.
