11. Grout
We know you want your bathroom and kitchen to look clean and bright, but you won’t achieve this with Windex. Not only that it doesn’t have the property of lighting the lines between the tiles, but you can actually stain them and make them look worse.
An effective cleaning treatment for this area is to mix a part of bleach with ten parts of water and let it sit for 5 minutes. To finish, you will need to scrub, rinse, and wipe clean. This is a deep cleaning task that you can do twice a year to keep them looking good.
12. Bathtubs
For bathroom items such as showers, bathtubs, and toilets, you will need a disinfectant, and again, not even the formula containing it is enough for this area of your house. Use special bathroom cleaning products that contain bleach and are peroxide-based. They will effectively remove bacteria, any potential mold or mildew, and the soap scum that may damage the surfaces over time.
