Clean the smell of garlic from wooden cutting boards

Garlic is tasty and super healthy but not when it’s stuck to your favorite wooden cutting board! But lemons can help you clean it like a pro and remove all the smell. This is one of my favorite lemon cleaning tips because it’s easy. I do it a couple of times a week. All you need is half a lemon and a bit of salt. Sprinkle a tad bit of salt on the lemon, then start scrubbing with the cut side.

Depending on how dirty the cutting board is, I’d say to do it with circular movements for a couple of minutes to make sure all the smell is gone. Rinse with warm water and repeat the process if it’s necessary!

Bring back the shine to your faucets

One of the most efficient lemon cleaning tips is the one for the faucets. It is super easy to tackle the job; all you need is a bit of lemon juice, squeezed from half a lemon. Wait at least 15 minutes before wiping off the mixture with warm water. Then make sure you dry it with a clean cloth.

You won’t believe how shiny will they be!

Wipe the surface of your floors

To clean floors, use equal parts lemon juice, vinegar, and water instead of using harsh chemicals. Then simply wipe! Because it is unhealthy to crawl on a dirty floor or one that has been chemically treated, this method is perfect for those who have children or pets.

Degrease pans

For extra-greasy dishes, a teaspoon of lemon juice added to your soapy dishwater works wonders (plus, it smells good for the person doing the dishes!). I usually add a bit of lemon juice directly to the pan and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then wash them as you normally would.

Wash the windows

Ditch all the cleaning solutions that are jam-packed with chemicals! Instead, use a spray bottle with water and lemon juice to wipe glass doors, windows, and mirrors. Do you need a spray bottle? Take a look at this set of two spray bottles that is only $11.99 on Amazon. Having it will be really convenient!

Clean your microwave

Out of all these lemon cleaning tips, this is one of my favorites, for sure! Microwave a bowl of water with fresh lemon juice (or peels) for three to five minutes, or until boiling, to remove all the dirt that has been hardened. To allow the steam to continue working on the walls, wait five more minutes before opening the door.

Lastly, take out the lemon water and clean the microwave’s interior walls. If you often use your microwave, I would suggest doing this a few times a week.
